On our hike today we saw lots of amanita mushrooms.
Must be the season for amanitas here.
This one was a beauty.
In Oregon I see them in the fall.
But hey, it is the fall here.
Their habitat is the pine forest (some kind of long-needle pine).
They come up through the thick layer of pine needles under the trees.
