Plaza Minorista Market
As luck would have it, our hostal is only a 20 minute walk from one of the largest mercados in Medellin.
Anthony Bourdain visited this market on his No Reservations show.
It's the largest market we have been to on the trip.
It has everything.
Besides the usual fruits and meats and vegetables (including the dozen or more varieties of potatoes) it has whole aisles devoted to used TVs, used computers, pets, you name it.
One stall had a bunch of old watches and Daniel and I were intrigued with a couple of Omega Seamasters that looked to be about 50 years old. The guy was asking $300 for them.
I wish my friend Dan Havlik were here to tell me if they are fakes or a good deal or what.
