La Puerta Falsa (The False Door) is one of the oldest eating establishments in Bogota.
They have been in business 196 years, since 1816. That predates Colombian independence from Spain.
It's an unassuming place with only three tables and two counters. There is no menu. It is open six days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
We looked around to see what others were eating and it seemed the thing to get for breakfast was their tamales.
Daniel also got a chocolate con queso, hot chocolate with some fresh cheese for dipping in the chocolate.

The tamales seemed to be made of rice and garbanzo beans wrapped around a good-sized piece of chicken on the bone.
They were yummy and very filling. We couldn't finish.
