Narco Theme Park (Part 3)

The Casa Museo, the ruins of Escobar's home, is obviously the biggest draw at Hacienda Napoles.

There were probably about a dozen other Colombians there when we got there, wandering around the ruins.

Escobar's house was not particularly large.
I'd estimate it to be about 8,000 square feet.

There are MacMansions on the outskirts of my hometown in Oregon that are more impressive.

It wrapped around a large swimming pool and there was a tennis court below along with a helipad.
A big poster as you approach the house announces the theme of the exhibit: "Triunfo el Estado" (my rough translation: The State Won).

Escobar terrorized the country and was responsible for probably about 5,000 deaths, but in the end the Colombian government got him.

Here is a sample of the grisly exhibits in the Casa Museo.
