A Campaign Against Gossips

If you saw a guy with a Captain Kangaroo hairdo carrying an elaborate banner in the States you would go out of your way to avoid him.

You'd think he was nuts or was pushing some crackpot religious or political ideas.

This guy in Tunja, however, is on a crusade against gossiping. Seriously. He is advocating against "chismosos." Gossips. The banner says something to the effect that what you don't see with your eyes you should not invent with your tongue.

Sound advice.

A nice English teacher and his son who were happening by helped us understand what this was about.

We talked to him for awhile. He hopes to come to the U.S. on a teacher exchange program before too long.

What a friendly country!
