I am a sucker for signs like this one.
Who can resist a house specialty that is a tamale that you have never heard of?
Daniel and I went in and we split one. I'm glad we did because it really feeds two.
Turns out this tamale is a Colombian specialty.
Even the Wikipedia article on tamales mentions it. It was the size of a softball, wrapped in plantain leaves.
Inside it had a little bit of everything: potatoes, carrots, corn, peas, chicken still on the bone and litte pork ribs. It was delicious.
Here's the recipe. I think ours was just like the one in the recipe.
A high degree of difficulty and we got it for just a few bucks.
