Smurfs

Daniel says Smurfs are still very popular in South America.

He has now been all over Chile, Peru, and now Ecuador and everywhere there are Smurfs.

He has seen a lot of them since coming here in January to do some field studies for his Global Resource Systems major in Patagonian Chile.
We even got a pìcture with a live Smurf in downtown Baños.

Do Smurfs have names? Anyone know the name of this Smurf?

    I think she's Smurfette. There weren't many girl smurfs.

    I'm really enjoying your blog. We went to Peru a few years ago and now seeing your photos and commentary, I'm dying to get back to South America. Janice Weide

    Thanks Ann and Janice. Janice, you should get back. We hope to get to northern Peru, but we want to see more of Ecuador and then get up to Columbia before we leave. We have talked to a lot of folks who said Columbia is wonderful.
