The Basilica in the center of Banos is a beautiful building that seems totally devoted to the Agua Santa (see previous post for more). Along both sides of the sanctuary are huge paintings depicting some of the most famous miracles attributed to the Agua Santa.
Here are some of my favorites:
Agua Santa saves a man in the 19th century from an unfortunate mishap while riding across a canyon in a basket. He survived the fall into the canyon.
Agua Santa saves a building from burning down in Guayaquil, if I recall correctly, when a man puts her picture on the door. The rest of the town was totally consumed.
In the early 20th century a man was saved from a terrible car accident by Agua Santa.
