Bomba Fiesta!

We certainly got our fill of bomba in Salinas.

This group of school kids performed for us at our mid-day meal in the community center. I was told there are two kinds of bomba music.

These kids were playing the traditional version that uses all percussion instruments.
The more modern version adds brass instruments.

The second kind of bomba was also happening at another meeting place adjacent to the community center.

We wandered over there and were soon caught up in the party. It was another group of senior Ecuadorian tourists.

They loved having some gringos to dance with.
