No Whimpy Cigarette Warnings Here

In the U.S. we still have pretty whimpy warnings on cigarette packs. Why is that? Something to do with the lingering power of the tobacco lobby?

Here is the way they warn you in Ecuador. Click to enlarge the photo. It says simply: Smoking Causes Cancer.

Daniel says in Chile they have pictures of gruesome disfigured people to go with their warnings.

Maybe we ought to try that. Except that we need the tax revenue.
