Mushrooms in the Cocora Valley

On our walk in the Cocora Valley we spotted some mushrooms. This is an amanita which is pretty common in Oregon.

It can be poisonous but also hallucinogenic.

Don't ask me. I'd never try one.

I find them to be the prettiest mushroom in a kind of garish way. There were a lot of them growing just off the trail.

I also saw several of these slimy mushrooms that reminded me of an Oregon mushroom called Slippery Jack.

These brown mushrooms did not ring a bell, but they were very pretty.
